Run Pace Calculator

I use the pace calculator called VDOT, a proxy for your VO2max created by world-famous Olympian and track coach, Jack Daniels.

While your VDOT number is a great way of tracking fitness improvements over time, It is really useful that it can produce the paces and race equivalents.

Using the Calculator

  1. Start by entering your event distance. (DO NOT INPUT a goal time for a future event. Input a time of a most recent event or baseline test. The paces will be more accurate to allow progress and appropriate load.

  2. Then enter either your time or pace and hit “calculate.”

  3. Click through the resultant tabs to see the various paces and equivalencies for training.
